Self as Instrument

Picture
To enter your library with "beginners mind", is to enter with a powerful tool. That is, the power of openness and no expectation. What do you see as a person totally unfamiliar with your library? As a user what difficulties do you encounter? Can you find what you need to find? How does it feel? How does it look? Put on a filter of the unfamiliar. How would it work if you could not see, or see well. Is there enough light? How about hearing? Is there too much noise, could you study here? How about smells. Would you have difficulty if you had an environmental allergy and had to use a bathroom with an air freshener?
